Michael Jamin is a 28-year Hollywood Veteran

Meet Your Showrunner

Why Learning From A Working TV Writer Changes Everything

Most “screenwriting advice” comes from people who don’t actually write for television. Michael Jamin has spent nearly three decades in real writers’ rooms, getting scripts shot and pilots sold. This bundle teaches you how to do the same.

For 28 years, Michael has made his living as a professional TV writer and showrunner.
His credits include hit shows like:

  • King of the Hill
  • Beavis and Butt-Head
  • Just Shoot Me
  • Wilfred
  • Maron
  • Rules of Engagement
  • Tacoma FD

…and more.

He’s hired writers, sat in staffing meetings, rewritten scripts at 2 a.m., and watched projects live or die based on the words on the page. In other words: this isn’t theory. This is the job.

Most courses talk about “three-act structure” and “theme.” That’s fine.

Michael shows you:

  • How writers’ rooms actually break story and build seasons
  • How professionals outline, draft, and rewrite under real deadlines
  • What makes a script feel “staffable” instead of “promising but not quite there yet”
This Bundle Is…
A complete system to help you think and write like a working TV writer
Step-by-step training you can apply to your own scripts immediately
Built to help serious writers move from ‘aspiring’ to ‘someone with professional level material’
This Bundle Is NOT…
Not a pile of random recorded Zoom calls
Not film-school lectures from writers with no real credits
Not another ‘guru’ promising you’ll sell a show in 30 days

If you’re serious about treating writing like a career, not a hobby, you’re in the right place.

Your Investment Is In Your Control

This is course is about building your craft and a career—there are no magic tricks here. But if you show up and do the work, I want you to feel good about the money you’re spending.

You’re not paying for a fantasy. You’re paying to learn how professional writers actually do this job.

If you go through the core course, do the work, and feel you didn’t get tools that measurably improved your writing, I don’t want your money.

Here’s how it works:

  • Watch the lessons. Go through the main Showrunner’s Guide modules within the first 30 days.
  • Do the assignments. Complete the workbook exercises and apply the tools to your own script.
  • Ask questions. If you hit a wall, use the Facebook group or Q&A vault to get unstuck.

If, after doing that, you feel the course didn’t significantly level up your writing toolbox, email my team within 30 days of purchase, show that you did the work, and we’ll refund your enrollment.

No hard feelings. I’d rather you keep your money than feel like you wasted it.

This guarantee covers the course itself and your learning experience—not specific career outcomes. I can’t promise you’ll sell a show or get staffed. I can promise to teach you the tools I’ve used to make a living as a writer for almost three decades.

FAQs

Is This Bundle Right For You?

We've had 1,200+ Screenwriters go through the course. Here are some of the common questions we get asked.
I’m a beginner. Is this too advanced for me?
No—but you do need to be serious.

If you’ve never opened Final Draft, you’ll be fine as long as you’re willing to learn and do the work. I walk you through story, character, structure, and rewriting step-by-step.

What this is not is a “someday I might write a screenplay” tourist course. If you’re just curious about how TV works, you’ll probably bail. If you’re ready to actually write, you’re in the right place.
I’ve taken other screenwriting courses. What’s different about this?
Most courses are taught by by professional teachers, not professional writers.

This bundle is built around how writers’ rooms actually function, how ideas become episodes, how scripts are rewritten under pressure, and what makes a script staffable—not just “interesting.”

You’re not getting theory. You’re getting the tools I’ve used in real rooms on real shows for nearly three decades, plus case studies and scripts from those shows so you can see exactly how it all looks on the page.
Do I need to live in Los Angeles to benefit from this?
No.

Do you need to understand how the TV business works and what’s expected from professional writers? Absolutely.

The craft doesn’t change whether you’re in L.A., London, or a small town somewhere in the middle. This course is designed to give you the skills first, so that when geography becomes part of the conversation, you actually have a script worth talking about.
How long will this take me? I have a job and a life.
You can work through the material on your own schedule.

Most writers can get through the main course in 4 weeks while working a day job. I recommend blocking a half hour a day to watch one module. At the end of the month, you'll have completed the course, and you can now use that allocated time to start writing.

Truthfully, you can probably start writing after 2 weeks, as the second half of the course consists of case studies to help lock in your learning. The goal is for you to steadily apply each tool to your own script, so that by the end you’re not just informed—you’ve actually written or significantly rewritten a project.
How long do I have access to everything?
Your access to the core course, bonuses, and the webinar library is lifetime for as long as the program exists.

You can rewatch modules anytime, revisit the workbook, and go back through the Q&As whenever you need a refresher. When new webinars are added, they’re included automatically as part of your enrollment.
What if I fall behind?
This isn’t a live cohort with homework deadlines. You’re not “behind” anyone.  You can:

  • Watch at your own pace
  • Rewatch anything as needed
  • Pause while life happens and pick back up when you’re ready

The key is consistency. If you can give your writing a few focused hours each week, this course will give you plenty to work on.
Will this course help me write for film as well as TV?
Yes.

Even though I make my living primarily as a TV writer, I've also sold two feature scripts to 20th Century Fox. I did this by applying my knowledge of TV writing to feature writing.

Story is story.

It applies to screenplays, teleplays, stage plays, novels, memoir, etc. Don't get hung up by the size of the screen.
“Do you offer payment plans?”

Yes. You don’t have to pay it all at once if that’s not realistic for you right now.

We offer:

  • Pay in full
  • 3-month payment plan
  • 6-month payment plan

All payment plans are zero interest, and you get full access to the entire course and bonuses from day one—not dripped out as you pay. The goal is to make this affordable without slowing down your progress.

If you’re still on the fence…

Ask yourself one question: “Where will my writing be a year from now if I continue doing what I’m doing now?”

If the honest answer is “about the same,” then it might be time to try a different approach.

You can have excuses, or you can have results, but you can’t have both.

Mark H & Writing Partner

Case Study: From Spec Script To Hallmark Christmas Movie

"When the pandemic hit, I decided to enroll in Michael Jamin’s course. At the time my writing partner and I were putting the finishing touches on a Christmas film we had done on spec. Thanks to what my writing partner and I gleaned from Michael’s course, it helped us round out the missing elements in our script and we landed an option deal. We were elated with that alone . We never thought the movie would get made. Fast forward to this past June, we got a green light at Hallmark."

Two degrees and six screenwriting courses and Michael's course by far is the best.

Jay F.

I'm 30% of my way through Michael's class, and wowowowow, best writing course I've ever taken. Hands down.

Nina D.

I binged everything of his I could find online for free and then signed up for his course. Best investment by Far!

Susan H.

I've read most of the "important" books on screenwriting and TV writing. But I've found the most helpful and impactful for my screen and tv writing is Michael Jamin's online showrunner course. It's the best writing course I've encountered in all the years I've been at it.

Steven M.

I invested into myself and purchased the course last weekend and it's ahhhmazing!....The actionable steps/homework force us to grow and solidity the learning. I'm LOVING it and broke my first ever tv story this week!! 00 thank you

Monica V.

I purchased your course last night to see if I can get past my writers block on my pilot that I've struggled with since the beginning of this year and just after watching your first four videos, I've got a clear and precise story laid out! I honestly can't thank you enough for making this course! You are a gift to us all!

Steven K.

I have just finished the course and it was amazing!!! It was super engaging and made complicated topics simple (unlike a lot of my college courses that make things much more complicated than it needs to be.) I was so engaged!

Joy C.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. THIS CLASS WORKS. I keep seeing real results from the lessons I've learned here and could not be more grateful.

Chris P.

Before I found Michael's social media content and the course, I was so lost and overwhelmed by all the contradictory advice found on the internet. Now I'm confident enough to start writing. He's a great teacher!

The Stakes Are Real

Why This Offer is Limited

This isn’t a fake countdown timer or a sale we quietly extend for weeks. The enrollment offer is how I reward the writers who are ready to take the next step now, not “someday.”
The price goes back up. The Showrunner’s Guide to Screenwriting normally sells for $1,295 by itself. After a few days, it goes back to its regular price without this deep discount.
Focus is a limited resource. Every year, writers tell themselves they’ll “get serious next year.” Years go by. Nothing changes. If you’re still reading this, “next year” might need to start now.
Your scripts don’t get better sitting in a drawer. The only way your writing improves is by putting better tools to work. This bundle is my way of putting those tools in your hands at the lowest price I ever offer.

If you already know you want to write at a professional level, this is the window.
When the timer hits zero, the bundle—and the savings—are gone.
