How Do I Find Contact Info For Industry Insiders?

So a while ago, I did a post on how to break into the business by contacting various people in the industry. If you haven’t seen it, go back and watch it. And many of you had questions. Well, how do I find these people’s email addresses of a writer or director or producer, whatever? There’s a lot of different ways. You could just go into Google and try to find it. Many of them have their own websites. So if you go to their website and then go to their contact page and then you’ll get their contact information, I wouldn’t try to find them on Facebook or Instagram. I think that’s a little creepy. You could try LinkedIn though. You could also get IMDB pro, which is free for 30 days. And if you go on that website, they’ll tell you everyone’s contact information of their representatives.

It will tell you their agent or their manager, then you just write a letter to them and they will forward it to their client. Easy. If you want to contact a studio executive or a production company, they’ll have their own website, you call up and you find out, uh, how they basically, how they do their email there. So if you find out that the receptionist’s email is Harrym@happypictures.com. Now, you know that they tend to do all the emails by first name, last initial @happypictures.com. And that’s how you just send out an email. Just test it. If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t, it’ll come bounce back, but it’s worth trying good. Go get them for more tips.
